Meet the Team
Director - Having spent many years running a homelessness charity, my wife Sharon and I saw a need among our community that the limits of our charity could not let us support. After some research and discussion we discovered that the perfect way to resolve this problem would be to launch In Harmony Food Revolution as a Community Interest Company (CIC) alongside our charity (THAG) and the results have been incredible.
My own background has 20 years of setting up projects from scratch some of which have included elements of cookery and feeding people as well as environmental work so I was well placed to bring those skills together in support of the local community and environment.
Volunteer Coordinator - As our plans became more real I was able to enhance the skills I had already gained through working with the charity by training with the School for Social Entrepreneurs on two courses. The amazing training and support I received enabled us to grow and expand our Community Interest Company (CIC). I am passionate about helping people find their direction in life and do this by teaching cookery, life skills and healthy living as well as working with volunteers and participants in our training gardens.

Admin Assistant - Having received support from Sharon and Francis during a difficult time in my life and having enjoyed their Junk Food Cafe through happier times I was delighted to hear that they were recruiting an admin assistant and applied at once. Although I'm a recent addition to the team I still feel like part of a kind and supportive family and look forward to working here for a long time to come. Environmental issues and issues of equality have always been very close to my heart and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be able to do work of value that supports our wonderful planet and our local community.
Shop Manager - I have worked with Sharon and Francis as a volunteer for a year and started to work part time as a general assistant in May distributing food from the supermarkets as well as promoting the sale of produce from our Growing in Harmony site. I'm grateful for the support and opportunities I've been given to work in the local community. I enjoy the variety offered by the job and the contact with people who use our shop. I also help out with the training that we offer here working with volunteers as a team. I also enjoy going up to the Growing in Harmony site and working with the animals and plants there. I came to the UK from Poland 16 years ago and managing the Facebook page for the Harmony Hub gives me an opportunity to share my culture through the wonderful Polish recipes I post. Working here has really supported my wellbeing and I would recommend volunteering here to anyone.
